The rate for using Kestrel Fields Studio for your 24-hour, completely immersive and private, self-directed creative use:
Sunday 4pm-Friday at 4pm - $135/day
Friday 4pm-Sunday 4pm - $160/day
Includes sleeping accommodation, full kitchen and bath, and all amenities listed here.
Note: If your stay begins on a different day than Sunday or Friday, access is available as early as 8am.
The studio can accommodate 2 people comfortably. A partner, friend, or collaborator is welcome to join you at no additional charge (though there is only one bed). Pets are not allowed.
DISCOUNTS
One week (7 day) rental increments (3-week maximum reservation) including overnights:
$795/week (saves $200)
Day use only (8am-12 midnight) per day:
M-F $95/day
Sat/Sun $125/day
Day use only, one week (7 day) rental increments:
$595/week (saves $130)
Students (age 18+), veterans, and adults who receive government assistance (i.e. Medicaid, SNAP benefits) are eligible for an additional 20% off the above rates.
Cleaning/damages deposit
A $100 cleaning/damages deposit will be initially charged to you, but if you leave the space as nice as you find it when you first arrived, a full or partial refund is available (at the discretion of Kestrel Fields Studio).

To rent the studio for your incredible(!) art show:
Installation time (up to 4 hours) and take down time (up to 2 hours, allowing for cleaning time): $50
Open studio hours between 8am-9pm (you determine the amount of time and when): $25/hour (2-hour minimum), paid in advance. Shows must hang for a minimum of 3 days.
TOTAL minimum cost for a 3-day show: $200*
*Receptions are not included in this fee. See below for more information.
There is a $100 cleaning/damages deposit, but if you leave the space as nice as you find it when you first arrive, a full or partial refund is available at the discretion of Kestrel Fields Studio.
Note: If your show starts getting EXPENSIVE because you want to be open for more hours or days, we cap the hourly rate and start charging a daily rate. If your prorated hours/day calculations exceed $500, the rate changes to $50/day beyond that

Fees include
- picture wire, hangers, S-hooks, and wire cutters for hanging your work
- use of step-ladders (at your own risk)
- 62 linear feet of wall space
- 16 linear feet to hang objects in space (along the vaulted ceiling line)
- an open invitation to your fans to come onto the property during your own open hours to engage with your work (does not include an opening or closing reception--that is considered separately)
- signage from the street to guide your visitors into the gallery
- outdoor lighting at night to keep guests safe and comfortable
- announcements and images on our social media and newsletter (although we recommend that you do not rely on our marketing exclusively... this is your show--you know how to best reach your fans!)

- help loading and unloading
- advice and emotional support, if needed :)
Add-ons
- Venue staffing (if you can't be there during hours you want to be open) - $20/hour
- Parking staffing - $20/hour
- Use of our projector - $35
- Snack service (2-3 finger food options while you're open, dietary restrictions considered): $50-100 depending on what you'd like. Water and non-alcoholic beverages can be included.
Opening/Closing reception (2 hours)
- You provide food, drinks*, and at least one extra person for managing the building and grounds outside with our staff - $150 in addition to agreed studio rate based on your selected dates and times.
OR
- We provide food, non-alcoholic drinks, serving, and door/parking helpers - $350 in addition to agreed studio rate based on your selected dates and times.
If you plan to do a formal artist talk (with need for technology/seating) as part of your reception: $65 in addition to agreed studio rate based on your selected dates and times, and reception cost.
*Please refer to our studio rules & policies regarding food and drinks you provide at your own event, particularly in regards to serving/consuming alcohol.

After you begin your reservation, we will determine the right mix of needs for your event.
To use the studio for a length of time between 8am-9pm, in order to teach a creative skill to a group of 2-10 people:
In addition to the fee noted here, a $100 cleaning/damages deposit will also be assessed. If you leave the space as nice as you found it before your class begins, your deposit can be fully or partially refunded (at the discretion of Kestrel Fields Studio).
If your class is more than one day, please inquire about reduced fees for additional hours or days.
If your class is canceled before 48 hours from the start of the class, or you do not make any ticket sales and you cancel, you will be refunded your fee minus a $20 administration cost. Cancellations are not accepted after the 48-hour cutoff.
Creative non-profit organizations
Please contact us to negotiate a daily rate that is competitive with other creative use spaces in our community (plus a $100 cleaning/damages deposit).

If you are charging money for entry, you cannot serve alcohol.
If serving alcohol at your free event, please manage a 2-drink maximum per guest.

One-on-one personal art career or residency coaching with Heather Matthews:
$50 for a 1-hour session.
Heather has a B.S in German Languages & Literatures (sprechen Sie Deutsch?), a BFA in Studio Art (Fibers), and an M.Ed in Counseling & Career Development. Before Kestrel Fields Studio & Art Residency became a thing, she worked for 14 years at Colorado State University as an academic advisor and career counselor.
