Thanks to the generosity of friends and donors over the last two years, Kestrel Fields Studio & Art Residency is excited to announce an opportunity for fiber and textile artists who’ve been dabbling, experimenting, or quietly creating in the margins of their lives—people with original ideas and a deep desire to explore their own voice, but who’ve never had the space, time, or support to truly go "all in."
We’re offering six (6) fully-funded scholarships to help you step fully into your Artist identity—even if you’ve never called yourself an artist before. Additionally, there are six (6) partial scholarships so that we can share this unique opportunity with as many Artists as we can.
This residency is for you if…

To apply for the Artist with a Capital A Residency, you’ll answer a few questions about your creative journey, your interest in fiber art, and why this residency matters to you. You’ll also share some images of your work—no fancy portfolio required.
This process is great practice for your journey as you become an Artist—perfection is not required. Applications and the $15 application fee are due by June 30, 2025.
