Self-directed residencies & retreats now available!
Talking about art and the creative life, and sharing with others either in-person, in groups, or even online is how we build community in art. There are so many talented and active artists, performers, writers, and other creatives in this place we call home! Yet, to many creative people, the Fort Collins' arts community feels disjointed.
Nobody is at fault for this feeling. Despite the myriad shows, the murals, pianos and public art, our wonderful performance spaces, the annual Fort Collins Studio Tour, the Museum of Art, the museum and galleries and incredible art school at CSU, and privately-owned arts organizations like 3 Square Art and VanCo School of Art, somehow.... well.
Kestrel Fields Studio & Art Residency aims to be a part of this community and help nurture it so that this feeling of disjointedness might wane.
Creative folks in Fort Collins yearn for more opportunities for connecting, both to other creatives and to people who appreciate what they do. In fact, "art appreciators" are imperative to this community. Collectors, fans, educators, businesses, and government entities all benefit from the arts. That art means so much more when you know the people and stories tied to the making.
